Open Pooey and tap the "+" button on the home screen. Select the Bristol Stool Scale type (1-7) that matches your bowel movement, add any optional notes or food diary entries, and tap Save. The entire process takes about 5 seconds.
The Bristol Stool Scale (also known as the Bristol Stool Chart) is a medical classification system that categorizes human stool into seven types based on shape and consistency. It was developed at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and is widely used by healthcare professionals to assess digestive health. Type 1 indicates severe constipation, while Type 7 indicates diarrhea. Types 3 and 4 are generally considered healthy.
Your virtual pet companion evolves through four stages as you consistently log your bowel movements. The more regularly you track, the happier and more evolved your pet becomes. If you miss several days, your pet may show signs of needing attention. The pet companion is designed to keep you motivated and make tracking a daily habit. All pet progress data is stored locally on your device.
To export a health report, go to History in the app and tap the Export button. Choose your desired date range and tap Generate PDF. The report includes your Bristol Stool Scale entries, patterns, and food diary data in a clean, professional format that gastroenterologists can easily understand. You can share the PDF via email, AirDrop, or any other sharing method. This feature is available on Pro and Lifetime plans.
Yes, absolutely. All your health data is stored locally on your device. CrownLabs never collects, transmits, or has access to your personal health information. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or data brokers. If you use iCloud sync, your data is protected by Apple's end-to-end encryption. You can delete individual entries by swiping left on any log entry in your History view. To delete all your data at once, go to Settings > Delete All Data within the app. Uninstalling Pooey also removes all locally stored data from your device. If you use iCloud sync, you can manage that data through iOS Settings > Apple ID > iCloud.
If you have reinstalled Pooey or switched to a new device and need to restore your purchase, go to Settings > Restore Purchases within the app. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase. If the restore does not work, check your subscription status in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. If you continue to have issues, contact us at [email protected].
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel, open iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, find Pooey in the list, and tap Cancel Subscription. You will continue to have access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. CrownLabs does not process cancellations directly because all billing is handled by Apple.

Common Issues

App Won't Open or Crashes

If Pooey is not opening or is crashing on launch, try these steps:

  1. Force close the app by swiping it away in the App Switcher, then reopen it.
  2. Restart your device by powering it off and back on.
  3. Make sure you have the latest version of Pooey installed from the App Store.
  4. Ensure your device is running iOS 17.0 or later.
  5. If the issue persists, delete and reinstall the app. Note: reinstalling will remove locally stored data unless you have iCloud sync enabled.

Data Not Syncing with iCloud

If your data is not syncing between devices:

  1. Verify that iCloud sync is enabled in Pooey's Settings.
  2. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID on all devices.
  3. Check that iCloud has available storage in iOS Settings > Apple ID > iCloud.
  4. Ensure your device has a stable internet connection.
  5. Try toggling iCloud sync off and on again in the app Settings.

Subscription Not Recognized

If your Pro features are not showing after purchase:

  1. Go to Settings > Restore Purchases within Pooey.
  2. Verify your subscription is active in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
  3. Make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
  4. Wait a few minutes and try again, as App Store transactions can sometimes be delayed.
  5. If the issue continues, contact us at [email protected] with your purchase receipt.
